Tom Seymour Seeks Minot North Dakota's 5th Ward Alderman's Seat

Tom Seymour Seeks 5th Ward Alderman Seat
Tom Seymour, professor at Minot State University is seeking the 5th Ward Alderman seat vacated by Aaron Vibeto. Seymour is the State Senator from District 5 whose term expires on December 1, 2010. Tom has served on many legislative committees including appropriations, education and information technology. He was a member of the city planning commission and the county planning commission for ten years.

Mayor Erickson appointed him to the Magic Fund Long Term Funding Committee and he has been a member of other various city committees.
Tom is an active member of the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Council; he is an SRT Board member, member of the Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center Community Relations Council and a member of the Minot Public Schools Business Advisory Board.

For five years Tom wrote an Internet column for the Minot Daily News and he is past-president of the Minot State faculty senate and the North Dakota Council of College Faculties, where he led a successful initiative to place a faculty member on the North Dakota Board of Higher Education.
