The candidates’ interviews will all follow the same format, and their presentations will answer, “As VPAF, how would you position MSU to respond to fiscal challenges and opportunities to make us a premier institution in the Great Plains?" Chandler bids Minot State farewell today
It is with great sadness that I announce I will be leaving Minot State University. My husband, who is in the Air Force, has received orders, and we will be moving to Albuquerque, N.M., in June. It has been a pleasure working with all of you, and I have great pride in the work we have all done to help our MSU students over the last five years. I wanted to make sure I have the opportunity to say good-bye to students, staff and faculty before some of you leave for the summer. Therefore, Main 106 has been reserved from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. today (May 5) so you can all stop by, have some cake and punch and I can say good-bye! Thank you all for the great memories!

Award-winning filmmaker to discuss inclusion tonight
Through the efforts of the MSU Disability Advocacy Committee, in collaboration with Pathfinder Parent Center in Minot, Dan Habib, a filmmaker, will introduce “Including Samuel” this evening (May 5) in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at 7 p.m. Habib, the father of a boy with cerebral palsy, will lead discussion following the one‐hour public screening.
Shot and produced over four years, Habib's award‐winning documentary film chronicles the Habib family's efforts to include Samuel in every facet of their lives. The film also features four other families with varied inclusion experiences, plus interviews with dozens of teachers, young people, parents and disability rights experts.
The trailer for the film and other information is available at www.includingsamuel.com/home.aspx.

Parking needs for special visitors to campus
Due to a need for additional parking spots for visitors to the campus during May, a lot will be blocked off to accommodate them. For those temporarily displaced during this time, we would encourage you to park north of the Dome during the time listed below.
Friday (May 7) — for the first CONNECT session for fall 2010 incoming students, L lot will be set aside for them. The check-in and check-out sessions will be held in Harnett Hall for this session.
We appreciate your understanding in being displaced to accommodate extra visitors on campus. For questions, call 858-3210.

Notifying the Office of Student Life or faculty members through the Office of Public Information (using this format or by any other means) does not constitute an excused absence. Whenever a student anticipates an absence, he/she should contact the appropriate faculty member prior to missing class.
It is up to the discretion of the faculty member whether students will be excused from class or allowed to make up any missed work. Each faculty member establishes his/her own guidelines regarding class absence, and whether or not a student will be allowed to make up missed work.*
