REVISED MEETING NOTICE
Senator Ray Holmberg, Chairman, has called a meeting of the BUDGET SECTION.
Date: Tuesday, June 22, 2010
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Place: Senate Chamber, State Capitol, Bismarck
Agenda: Presentations by representatives of the Office of Management and Budget regarding the
status of the general fund, irregularities in the fiscal practices of the state, funding from the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, and a report on any tobacco settlement
proceeds; by representatives of the Department of Human Services and Affiliated Computer
Services regarding the status of the Medicaid management information system project;
consideration of state agency requests that have been authorized by the Emergency
Commission and require Budget Section approval; by the Legislative Council staff of a
memorandum regarding the authority of the Budget Section to approve Adjutant
General requests to spend funding from the state disaster relief fund; by
representatives of the Adjutant General regarding requests for Budget Section approval
to spend funds from the state disaster relief fund pursuant to provisions of 2009 Senate
Bill No. 2012; by a representative of the Department of Commerce regarding the centers of
excellence monitoring report and annual audits; by a representative of the Centers of
Excellence Commission and the applicants regarding funding award recommendations for
centers of excellence and committee consideration of the funding award recommendations; by
representatives of the Game and Fish Department regarding land acquisitions in McKenzie
and LaMoure Counties that require Budget Section approval; by a representative of the North
Dakota State University Development Foundation regarding use of foundation funds; by a
representative of the Veterans' Home regarding the status of the Veterans' Home construction
project; by a representative of the Tax Department regarding funding distributed under the
tribal oil agreement; by a representative of the Board of University and School Lands of a
report regarding state agencies that have not submitted a claim for unclaimed property
belonging to those agencies and Budget Section consideration of the relinquishment of
agencies' rights to recover unclaimed property; by representatives of the North Dakota
University System regarding requests for Budget Section approval of changes to
project authorizations pursuant to North Dakota Century Code Section 48-01.2-25 and
Chapter 15-10; by representatives of the University System regarding status of the
University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences Bismarck Center for
Family Medicine capital project; by a representative of the Information Technology
Department regarding a request for Budget Section approval to spend the agency's
contingent general fund appropriation of $2,263,883 for a statewide longitudinal data
system; by the Legislative Council staff of information on the 2009-11 biennium report

on agency compliance with legislative intent; by a representative of the Public Service
Commission regarding a report on the status of the metrology program transition from
a public to a private service; by a representative of the Department of Commerce regarding
the status of financing and grants provided to early childhood facilities; by a representative of
the Department of Transportation regarding the use of state, federal, emergency, and other
highway funding by the Department of Transportation, counties, cities, and townships; by a
representative of the Highway Patrol regarding the status of implementation of the commercial
vehicle information systems and networks; by a representative of the Industrial Commission
regarding a report on the status of the Mill and Elevator study; by a representative of the Bank
of North Dakota regarding the estimated fiscal impact of discontinuing the issuance of federal
student loans; and other presentations, including a presentation by a representative of the
Tobacco Prevention and Control Executive Committee regarding the implementation of the
comprehensive tobacco prevention and control plan
